The Douglas County Sheriff's Office provides information regarding registered sex offenders pursuant to the Revised Code of Washington (RCW) 4.24.550. Individuals whose registration information is available via the internet are rated as Level 2 or 3 Offenders.
Sex Offenders in Your Area
The law does not allow the sheriff's office to publish information regarding Level 1 Offenders. We can provide you with information regarding Level 1 Offenders living near you if you contact our office in person.
The sex offenders posted on this website have served the sentence imposed on him/her by the courts and has advised the Douglas County Sheriff's Office that he/she will be living at the location listed. Living Situation
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office has no authority to direct where a sex offender may or may not live. Unless court-ordered restrictions exist, offenders are constitutionally free to live wherever he/she chooses.
Citizen Abuse Towards Offenders
Citizen abuse of this information to threaten, intimidate or harass registered sex offenders will not be tolerated. In fact, such abuse could end law enforcement's ability to notify the public. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office believes the only person who wins if community notification ends is the sex offender since sex offenders gain their power through secrecy.
