Beginning Monday, August 19, there will be a one-lane road closure on 19th Street NW and NW Cascade Ave as contractors begin construction on a road improvements project led by the City of East Wenatchee.
The project includes widening of the roadways, the installation of bicycle lanes and sidewalks, as well as the installation of a new stormwater facility. Traffic impacts
- Starting on Monday, August 19, the roadway will be reduced to one lane with a flagger alternating traffic flow. Motorists should expect delays.
Douglas County 19th Street Campus & Trailhead
The Douglas County Law & Justice Building, Public Services Building, and 19th Street NW Trailhead Access will remain open during road construction. Apple Capital Loop Trail users are encouraged to use the 27th Street NW Trailhead or 32nd Place Trailhead to avoid the construction area during this time.
