The Moderate Risk Waste Facility (MRWF) is the first facility of its kind in Douglas County, providing residents with a safe, convenient, and environmentally responsible option for disposing of select household and moderate-risk waste items.   

The facility enhances environmental safety while offering year-round access for Douglas County residents and delivering long-term benefits to the community.  

Materials are sorted and managed properly to reduce environmental risk and ensure safe handling.

Please note:  Hours of operation are set by Douglas County and may change due to holidays, inclement weather, emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances. We are also open on the third Saturday of each month. Please check our webpage for the most up-to-date schedule before visiting.
