What is CESQG you ask?
This is event is Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generator Collection Event for Douglas County businesses.
This is the perfect opportunity for businesses to properly dispose of items like fuel, flammable liquids, oil-based paint, corrosive liquids, fluorescent tubes, aerosols, toxic solids, acid batteries & other materials at the discounted county rate.
To qualify for this event your business, agency or organization must reside within Douglas County, and you must generate no more than 220lbs. of dangerous waste, or 2.2 pounds of etremely dangerous waste, per month.
Some of the most common wastes turned in by businesses within Douglas County in the past include tanning beds tubes, automotive fluids or sludge, paint-related materials, cleaning products, acids, aerosols, solvents, lab chemicals etc. If your business generates a waste that you have to pay to dispose of through an outside agent, it may save you money by participating in the Douglas County Small Quantity Generator Collection Event, scheduled for Friday, April 14, 2023, at the East Wenatchee City Hall Parking Lot.
To obtain a cost estimate for the disposal for your materials, contact Clean Harbors Environmental Services at 509.992.2554. Have the name & description of your waste material ready and the quantity you wish to dispose of. Below is the application form necessary to participate & included is a price list which reflects the current cost of disposal. Interested participants need to be registered for this event no later than 4:00 pm on Friday, April 7, 2023. If you have questions regarding this excellent opportunity for your business, please feel free to contact us at Douglas County Solid Waste Programs Office at 509.886.0899 & ask for Becci Piepel or Christina Gapan.
