Overview
The Civil Service Commission is composed of three commissioners appointed by the Douglas County Commissioners. The Chief Examiner / Secretary is appointed by the Civil Service Commissioners. Responsibilities
When the Sheriff's Office has an opening, the Civil Service Commission provides the Sheriff with the top five candidates' names from the eligibility list for that position.
